description PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce in size a video printer and to effectively lock it by decreasing in thickness a locking mechanism of a door. SOLUTION: The video printer comprises a vertically moving locking button 18 to be locked by a locking pawl 22, a first arm plate 24 laterally moved and projected from a door to be inserted into a hole of a housing, a second arm plate 25 laterally moved and projected from the door reversely to the late 24 to be inserted into the hole of the housing, and a rotating plate 23 rotated at the shaft as a center to lock the late 24 to one of the arms extended vertically of a shaft, to lock the plate 25 to the other of the arms extended vertically and to engage the button 18 to the arm extended to the right or left of the shaft. When the button 18 is locked, the plate 23 is rotated in response to the movement of the button 18, and hence the plates 24, 25 are cooperatively slid.
