BREAKAGE SPLIT CONNECTION ROD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To assemble a cap part to a main body part with high precision by breaking a large end part in a position offset from a joint part between respective half split bearings in the main body part and the cap part. SOLUTION: In installation of a main body side half split bearing 10 to a recess part 3a in a main body part 3 and installation of a cap side half split bearing 11 to a recess part 4a in a cap part 4, the main body side half bearing 10 is inserted into the recess part 3a and an upper end 11b of the cap side half bearing 11 is protruded from an uneven breakage face 4b by an offset quantity L. The cap part 4 is moved toward the main body part 3, and the upper end 11b of the cap side half bearing 11 is fitted in the recess part 3a in the main body side 3 while a projection 11a in the cap side half bearing 11 is inserted into a lock groove 3d in the recess 3a. In installation of the cap part 4 to the main body by means of a bolt, the upper end 11b of the cap side half bearing 11 is arranged from the recess part 4a to the recess part 3a, and the projection 11a is fitted from the lock groove in the recess part 4a to the lock groove in the recess part 3a.
