DATA TRANSFER SYSTEM USING PORTABLE INFORMATION TERMINAL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To transfer the image data of a navigation system to utilize it, and reflect the data from a portable information terminal to the navigation system. SOLUTION: A portable information terminal is installed to the installing part of a vehicle, the portable information terminal is activated to read the independent information such as the telephone number or address data of a designation from a data recording part 21 and transmits it to a navigation system 1. The map information preliminarily recorded in a data recording part 11 and the independent information of the designation are matched in a matching part 131. This data including image data is displayed on a display part 15. When the image data is used in the portable information terminal, the image data recorded in the data recording part 11 is read and transmitted to the portable information terminal 2. The received image data is recorded in the data recording part 21. On the portable information terminal side, the image data is read from the data recording part 21 as occasion demands and displayed on a display part 23.
