The roller 7f is lowered through the force of the spring 15, and when the spring arrives at a lower limit, a limit switch is turned ON and a material ON signal is outputted from a limit switch circuit 16. When an ON signal for the material 2 is inputted, a saw cutting positioning device 12 brings a material ON signal into zero, and a following material tip position is computed by a tip position control device 13. A computing result is inputted to a tip position control device 14 and the speed NREF of the table roller is controlled.
