METHOD FOR DISPERSING AND DISSOLVING POWDER AND APPARATUS THEREFOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make solid liquid separation easy by bringing a flocculant composition in fine powder state into direct contact with an object liquid and carrying out flocculation reaction within a short time in intense stirring conditions. SOLUTION: This method is for the time when a powder flocculant is directly dispersed and dissolved in an object fluid through injection inlet arranged in downward direction in a pipe and a prescribed quantity of a powder is previously supplied to a liquid in a middle tank and put in a dispersed state and then forcibly injected. In this case, the powder flocculant quantitatively supplied to the middle tank is preferably a powder flocculant composition having adjusted fine particle shape with particle diameter as even as possible and exists in dispersed state within a short time in the middle tank and after being brought into contact with a large quantity of polluted liquid, which is a liquid to be subjected to treatment, in a mixing region, the flocculant instantaneously complete flocculation reaction. The liquid to be supplied to the middle tank may be the liquid to be subjected to treatment or a liquid nothing to do with the treatment or their mixture. As a result, flocculated flocs having excellence in solid-liquid separation are stably and continuously formed.
