SOLUTION: When an input unit 11 of a design device 10 is operated, a condition input picture is displayed on a display. If various conditions are inputted, an arrangement determining means 13 determines the arrangement of a plurality of conductors 22 in accordance with various arrangement pattern stored in an arrangement pattern memory unit 12 and the inputted number of conductors 22. Then, a terminal length calculation unit 14 obtains the length L of a terminal 23 with solder which can envelope the outer circumference of the bundle of the plurality of conductors 22 whose arrangement is determined. Then, a coil end outer dimension calculation unit obtains the outer dimensions H and Y of a conductor coil end 21 in a non-joint state wherein the conductors are not soldered to a terminal main part 24. The terminal length L and the outer dimensions H and Y of the conductor coil end 21 are displayed with the cross-sectional view of the conductor coil end 21 in the non-joint state. With this constitution, the conductor coil end can be designed in a short time with little labor.
