description PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To keep a form against heating by an oven or a microwave oven and also to prevent problems from occurring in food sanitation by molding a paper container using as a base material a sheet material formed with a protective layer comprising thermosetting resin on at least one of faces of a paper material. SOLUTION: Protective layers 4 using thermosetting polyester resin are formed by extrusion coating of a T-die on both faces of a cup material sheet 5 as a base material for a sheet material 2 for molding the paper container. Although the thermosetting polyester resin is slightly poor in suitability for extrusion, it is excellent in heat resistance and can be crystallized by heating to be cured. Thus the container molded using the base material 2 can retain a form as a container with the sheet material 2 cured by heating even if it is served in an oven or a microwave oven at the time of cooling, and synthetic resin may be prevented from eluting and from attaching to a cooked material. In addition, since no aluminum foil is used, sparking may not occur at the time of heating in the microwave oven.
