description PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a control means to execute a variety of control and adjust ment while grasping characteristics for every substrate and also to normally read an image regardless by of the dispersion of characteristics in various kinds parts by storing a CCD sensitivity, a circuit system gain, various kinds of timing information, etc., in a storage device for every substrate on which the parts are mounted. SOLUTION: Memories 134 and 136 are provided on two substrates 114 and 116 where the respective parts are mounted and the characteristic of a CCD sensor 106 and the characteristic of a circuit system for processing it are stored. Besides, a light source at the time of adjusting a CCD unit, the initial characteristic of a processing system and position relation between an adjusting chart and a unit, etc., are stored in the memory 134 of the substrate 114. CPU 120 reads information from the memories 134 and 136 of the respective substrates 114 and 116 so as to execute processings. Thus, the substrates 114 and 116 are exchanged on the market in a short time without complicated adjustment in a high speed system.
