description PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new pipe support structure for putting in practical use a pipe made of low thermal expansion coefficient alloy transporting a low temperature substance like LNG. SOLUTION: This supporting structure for a pipe is fixed through a high strength heat insulating material 4 to a frame 12 fixed to a bedrock 11. This frame 12 has a half cylindrical lower part outer shell 9 and upper part outer shell 9a, in the respective outer shell 9, 9a, in its internal periphery, with a space apart in an axial direction, a distribution plate 3, 3a is provided to be mounted. A pipe 1, through the high strength heat insulating material 4 interposed between these distribution plates 3, 3a and a distribution plate 2, 2a mounted in the periphery of the pipe 1, is fixed without coming into direct contact with the outer shell of the frame 12 and an attachment member thereof. In the pipe 1, further preferable in its periphery, a rotation preventing fin 6 is mounted. This fin is arranged through the high strength heat insulating material 4 between ribs 8, 8a supporting the distribution plate of the upper/lower outer shells, rotation of the pipe is suppressed.
