description PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To transfer a glass plate in a vertical attitude so that glass plates are not brought into contact with each other when a plate-like body such as the glass plate is drawn out of a loaded truck with simple constitution by drawing out the sucked glass plate from the truck, and feeding it on a conveyor in the vertical attitude. SOLUTION: A glass plate feeding device elevates by an elevating/lowering means 30 a lower end part of a glass plate G loaded in the vertical direction while separated one by one by a rod erected on a loading truck 1, and then, sucks a lower corner part of the glass plate G by a sucking means. The glass plate G which is sucked and drawn from the loading truck 1 by a suction part reciprocating means is transferred to a glass plate carrying device to carry the glass plate G and to regulate the angle of inclination of the glass plate G by an attitude regulating means so as to meet the angle of inclination in the next process. Every time one glass plate G is drawn out, the loading truck 1 is moved by the loading pitch of the glass plate G by a truck pitch feeding means.
