PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a female (receptacle type) electric terminal contacted with a mating male type terminal, in a small type and in a good electric characteristic, and to make them possible to be manufactured at a low cost. SOLUTION: To a receptacle contact 20 composed by providing a contact arm 26 in a box form body made of an upper wall 23, a bottom wall 25, and both side walls 24, a spring member 40 of the separate body with an approx. V-shape is inserted and held, and a necessary contact pressure is obtained by cooperating its elastic arm 46 and a contact arm 26. The contact arm 26 is formed into a cantilever form from near the rear end of the box form part to the front end 29.
