WATER PURIFYING FILTER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remove suspended solid matter and chlorine in raw water and also to adjust mineral contents to a suitable quantity and furthermore to effectively remove organic matter in raw water. SOLUTION: In a column 2 of a water purifying filter 1, a first filter bed F1 , a second filter bed F2 , and a third filter bed F3 are formed. The first filter bed F1 , the second filter bed F2 , the third filter bed F3 are packed with a light filter medium 3, silver deposited active carbon 4, and BAKUHANSEKI(R) cone kind of granite porphyry produced in Japan respectively. First, the raw water gets rid of suspended solid matter by the filter medium, and next, chlorine is adsorbed therefrom by the silver deposited active carbon in the filter bed. Then, the raw water is contacted with BAKUHANSEKI(R) in the third filter bed to adjust mineral contents. And organic matter is removed by aerobic bacteria contained in BAKUHANSEKI(R).
