Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the digestion yield in kraft process by spraying a fungus proliferated on a wood chip onto a wood chip without producing cellulase. SOLUTION: A fungus proliferated on a wood chip without producing cellulase, e.g. Ophiostoma piliferum (refer to the opened Japanese Patent No. 6-245758) belonging to Ascomycetes of Eumycetes is sprayed to wood chip and transported and stored. The fungi is preferably sprayed to wood chip immediately after producing wood chip or before shipping or during shipping operation preferably in an amount of about 0.0001-0.01% expressed in terms of solid content based on the wood chip.
