SOLUTION: When insoluble matter is produced by reacting the additive component in the resin or synthetic rubber, of which an ink tank contacting with ink is made and which is eluted in the ink, with the compositional component of the ink, the insoluble matter plugs the fine passages, a filter, orifices and the like in an ink jet printer and prevent the ink from showing its fluidity, resulting in causing poor printing and blurred printing. Thus, the insoluble matter is prevented from being produced by confining the total amount of the aliphatic acid such as calcium stearate and its derivatives in the fat or rubber, of which the ink tank is made, to 10-100ppm.
