description PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate entering of workers into a reactor pressure vessel and improve working environment at the reactor bottom by raising the surface temperature in a metal vessel higher than the atmosphere and prevent bedewing as a cause of droplets. SOLUTION: A radiation shield body 2 consisting of a metal vessel 2A and inner liquid 2B is fixed on the upper surface of a lower flange 1A of core shroud 1. In the liquid 2B, a watertight heater wire 3 is provided, which is connected to an external power source. By turning on the power source, raising the temperature of the liquid 2B with the heater wire and keeping the temperature of the vessel 2A higher than the atmosphere temperature, generation of bedewing and droplets is suppressed. Or by installing the heater wire 3 inside the vessel 2A of the shield body 2 instead of providing the heater wire 3 in the liquid 2B, the temperature of the shield body 2 surface is raised so that generation of bedewing and droplets can be suppressed.
