description PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To constantly stably operate an internal combustion engine by controlling the fluctuation of throttle opening caused just after changing over of control gain in a throttle control device which changes over the control gain according to the working state of a throttle valve. SOLUTION: In a device for feed-back controlling a DC motor for opening and closing of a valve so that a deviation between a sensor value being an actual opening of a throttle valve and a command value being its target opening may be zero, in the case where the deviation is within a prescribed range (±2), the valve is judged to be in a stationary state, and in the case where the deviation is not within the above range, the valve is judged to be in a transient state, and the control gain (proportional gain Kp, integration gain Ki) used for each state is changed over to make the responsiveness and stability of the control compatible with each other. In addition, in the case of the judgement of the stationary state, the control gain is slowly altered to prevent the throttle opening from overshooting from the command value, and in the case of the judgement of the transient state, the control gain is quickly varied to secure the responsiveness at a transient time.
