description PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the occurrence of deformations and wrinkles when a roll is stored by sealing over the Whole width between a winding terminal end and a lower film kept in contact with it on the roll of the para-Aramid film having the thickness and the thickness fluctuation in the width direction of specific values. SOLUTION: This PPTA film is a para-Aramid film having the thickness of 4.5 μm within 1-9 μm and the thickness fluctuation in the width direction of 4.8% within 1-10%. A solution dissolved with cellulose acetate in methyl ethyl ketone is applied over the whole width of the roll of the PPTA film at the width of about 2 cm immediately after the film is wound. The end section of the wound film is stuck to the lower film at the position of about 30 cm from the most terminal. The roll is inserted into a polyethylene bag and is left for one week in a constant-temperature constant-humidity room at 20 deg.C and 60% RH. When it is observed after it is left for one week, corrugated wrinkles occur on the whole surface of the roll, however no wrinkle is observed after the film on the roll surface is stripped off by about 10 (m).
