Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a headlight for an automobile comprising a lamp body capable of coping with different aiming specifications. SOLUTION: In a headlight for an automobile in which a reflector 4 housed inside a lamp body 2 is supported by an aiming mechanism in a freely inclining manner, the aiming mechanism E1 comprises; a ball joint 10 serving as a fixed fulcrum P1 ; two screws 30 supported by inserting holes 2a, 2b of the lamp body 2, respectively; and nut members 6, 7 for supporting the reflector 4 separated vertically and laterally from the fixed fulcrum P1 and serving as a moving fulcrum P3 movable lengthwise in association with rotation of the screw 30. The lamp body 2 (and the reflector 4) can be used commonly for different specifications: for Japanese specifications in which the reflector 4 can be slantwise moved vertically and laterally; and for U.S. specifications in which a joint rod 50 constituting a second fixed fulcrum fixed fulcrum P1 ' for supporting the reflector 4 is inserted into and secured to the inserting hole 2b in place of the screw 30 of the aiming mechanism E1 and the nut member 7 in association with the screw 30, so that the reflector 4 is slantwise moved only vertically. |
