description | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure high sealability and strong pulling resistance by installing a mounting ring basal part fittable to a ring groove part of a corrugated pipe and a ring extending part facing toward the outside aslant from this ring basal part, and forming two projections, elastically contacting with an inner circumferential surface of a straight pipe, at the side of an outer circumferential surface of the extending part. SOLUTION: A mounting ring basal part 2 and a ring-like extending part 3 are integrally formed out of an elastic material, manufacturing an elastic seal ring 1. At this time, two projections 4 and 4 are formed at the side of an outer circumferential surface of the ring-like extending part 3, while a ring-like recess 5 is formed in a root part of the ring-like extending part 3. After the elastic seal ring 1 like this is fitted in and held on an independent chevron corrugated pipe, in the case where this corrugated pipe is shifted in the axial direction and installed in a coupling straight pipe, the ring-like extending part 3 is tilted to the diametral inside and diametrally contracted by the presence of the ring recess 5, so that insertional work is easily performable. In addition, after connection, these projections 4 and 4 strongly come into elastic contact with an inner circumferential surface of the straight pipe in consequence, and thus high pulling resistance force is exerted. |
