SOLUTION: Plural sheets S are loaded between a rubber 1 and a separation roller 2, and the rotation of the motor 11 is transmitted to a separation driving gear 5 and a driving gear for feeding 10 through a reduction gear mechanism 12. When a rear edge of the sheet S fed by the feeding roller 8, is separated from the separation roller 2, the separation roller 2 temporarily loses the driving source, and is stopped. The separation gear 5 keeps the rotation, so that the rotation of the separation roller 2 is started at a low speed, when a stopper 6 integrated with the separation gear 5 is abutted on a stopper 6 at a shaft 3 side, whereby a tip of the second sheet S is fed out. A clearance is formed between the rear edge of the first sheet S and the tip of the second sheet S, when the separation roller 2 is temporarily stopped, whereby the multifeeding can be surely prevented.
