PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely remove a scrap by forming a burr part to an outer peripheral edge part of a rear side surface without using a reversing device when trimming a plastic substance. SOLUTION: A plastic substance, in a trimming die S, is trimmed to a prescribed shaped product 23 by action of a lower knock out 4, a product guide/ upper knock out 5, a trimming punch 24 and a trimming die 25. At this time, a burr part is formed to an outer peripheral edge part of a rear side surface of the product 23. A scrap 27 accumulated to an outer periphery of the trimming punch 24 is cut by a scrap cutter 6 arranged to the trimming punch 24 and is slided down from an inclined face 6a of the scrap cutter 6 arranged to the trimming punch 24, the scrap is discharged from scrap discharge ports 11, 12 formed to a setting position of dies R, T and communicated to the slant face to the outside of the trimming die S.
