description PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely hold a cartridge at the time of its carriage out of storage rack of an auto-changer by means of the caddy by providing data cartridge locking means and movement stopping means in plural slots of the caddy respectively. SOLUTION: When a data cartridge is pushed in a slot of the caddy 300, a notch of the cartridge is engaged with a guide tab 322, and also a projection provided on a side surface of the cartridge is slid along a lock spring 408 provided on a cartridge spring 724 and ramps 710 and 712 of a movement stopping spring 410 respectively, and the projection of the cartridge is positioned behind the tips 710 and 712 of a lock spring 408 and a movement stopping spring 410 respectively. At this time, spring force of the movement stopping spring 410 is enough to hold the weight of the cartridge against vibration and impact even when the lock means is ineffective, and also this cartridge can simply be drawn out by the user against the spring force.
