Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the fermentation of additional charge effective and to prevent the generation of offensive smell and the degradation in efficiency by detecting the opening and closing of a feed cap and controlling the rotation of an agitating pawl shaft for a specified period of time. SOLUTION: A switch for detecting the opening and closing of the feed cap 20 of a fermentation vessel 3 is mounted near the feed port 3a to detect the opening and closing of the feed cap 20. The signal thereof is inputted to a control section 6. As a result, a CPU built in a control section 6 drives and controls the agitating pawl shaft 4 by a driving motor 4. This driving motor 7 operates for 30 minutes at every about 12 hours, but when the feed port 20 opens during rotation of the agitating pawls 6 and an open signal is inputted from the switch, the driving motor 7 stops once and is redriven by the next detection of the closing action, by which crude refuse is agitated. At the time of closing the feed cap 20, the timer of the CPU is activated to control the driving after 12 hours. While the crude refuse charged in such a manner is agitated by the agitating pawls 5, hot air is sent from the bottom of the fermentation vessel 3 by a suction blower 8 to accelerate the fermentation treatment.
