DAMPER FOR SPEAKER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To apply the damper to a non-circular speaker whose minor axis to major axis ratio is high by forming an arm with a straight line part extended in a tangential direction of an inner ring and a circular-arc connecting to an outer ring. SOLUTION: The damper 1 for a speaker comprises a rectangular outer ring 2, an inner ring 3 and an arm 4 connecting them. The type of material of the damper is made of a high polymer planer sheet reinforced by a woven cloth made of high elastic fibers such as glass fibers. Each arm 4 is made up of a straight line part 4a extended in a tangential direction of the inner ring 3, two straight line parts 4c, 4e in parallel with the straight line part 4a and circular-arc parts 4b, 4d connecting the straight line parts. Since the outer ring 2 is made almost rectangular, the damper 1 for speaker is fixed to a housing of the speaker at two sides. Thus, the damper 1 for speaker is applied to a non-circular speaker whose minor axis to major axis ratio is high and also applied to a multiple drive speaker.
