SOLUTION: This substituted carboxylic acid anilide derivative is expressed by the formula I [A is H or methyl; B is methyl or ethyl; Het is a group of the formula II or III (R is trifluoromethyl, etc.; R is H or methyl)], e.g. N- 2-(1,3-dimethylbutyl)phenyl}-2,4-dimethylthiazole-5-carboxylic acid amide. The compound of the formula I can be produced by reacting a substituted aniline of the formula IV with a carboxylic acid halide of the formula V (Z is Cl, Br or I) in molten state or in a solvent at -20 to +150 deg.C for 30min to 5hr. A solvent inert to the reaction such as hexane is used as the reaction solvent.
