description PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To protect the front window of an operator cab by preventing frost, icing, snow or the like from being frozen on the surface of the front window with the front window covered completely. SOLUTION: This cover device 20 is fitted at the roof part of an operator cab, and involves a cover sheet 21 and a storage casing 22 which is formed with a winding shaft 24 for winding the cover sheet 21, and a power spring 27 fixed on both right and left sides of the cover sheet 21 respectively so as to activate its energizing force in such a direction as to wind it inside the storage casing 22. An elevating rod 25 is jointed to one end of the cover sheet 21, and a locking part 26 is integrally-formed at the elevating rod 25, which is capable of being engaged and disengaged with/from a hook formed at the frame of an upper revolving body on which operator cab is installed. By pulling down the cover sheet 21 to cover the front window completely, such a condition that frost, icing, snow or the like is frozen on its surface is made, thus the locking part 26 being locked against the hook.
