SOLUTION: A crossing gate body 1 is constructed to tun a barrier rod 2 by a motor. Inside of the barrier rod 2 is formed with a cavity 2' and a detecting member 4 is formed by a copper ball of such size that it can freely move in the vanity 2'. A detector 25 consisted of a magnetic induction type proximity switch is disposed in the crossing gate body 1. Position relationship with the detector 5 and the detecting member 4 is decided such that the barrier rod 2 is most approached when the passage is opened. The detector 5 detects the detecting member 4 when the barrier rod 2 is kept in normal state without being broken off and the passage is opened by the barrier rod 2. Whereby, movement of the detecting member can be increased and breaking off of the barrier rod 2 may be securely detected. |
