CABLE AND ITS MANUFACTURE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a product and a method facilitating the connecting work of a connector and capable of being wired without trouble in a narrow place by storing a flat cable integrated with multiple electric wires aligned in a line in a sheath in the nearly cylindrically or nearly spirally wound state. SOLUTION: A drain wire 32 is kept in contact with the inner periphery of a metal tape 28 along the longitudinal direction. A thermoplastic resin sheath 38 is extrusion-molded around the metal tape 28 by a sheath forming device, it is cooled by a cooling tank, and the spiral state of a flat cable 16 is maintained to complete a cable 40. The cable 40 can be stored in the sheath 38 while the flat cable 16 is spirally wound around a core material 20, and the diameter of the cable 40 itself can be set small even if the width size of the flat cable 16 is large.
