METHOD AND DEVICE FOR MODEL GENERATION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically generate a model without any human intervention by extracting edges of an image of an object, performing a series of processings for extracting straight lines and arcs from the extracted edges plural times at the same position, and performing the processings plural times at a different position. SOLUTION: An image input part inputs the image of the object, an edge extraction part extracts edges of the input images, and a feature extraction part extracts straight lines and arcs from the extracted edges. Then straight lines and arcs are extracted plural times at the same position, straight lines and arcs are extracted plural times at a different position, and data different from the above data are deleted. Namely, a processing 7 for saving the same straight lines and arcs and a processing 8 for reextraction up to a certain frequency are added after the screen input processing 1, edge extracting processing 2, and feature extracting processing 3, and the processings 7 and 8 remove unstable parts under the same conditions and register the same extracted data as a model.
