Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vibration isolation function preventing the damage of box-shaped structure (chamber) itself and capable of ensuring sealing properties at the time of an earthquake while providing a trigger function, in which operation or experimentation is enabled in the same environment as the time of vibration isolation even at the normal time. SOLUTION: A box-shaped structure is supported onto a floor by a shock absorber such as air springs 2 while the box-shaped structure can be displaced in the horizontal direction through sliding plates 6 interposed among the lower section of the structure and the shock absorbers at the time of the generation of a great earthquake, etc. A return mechanism conducting a return after horizontal displacement is mounted, and a return to an original place is facilitated.
