Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a neoplastic vessel occlusion agent effectively usable for the photochemical therapy of neoplastic vessel in various tissues in the eye or other living tissues and having high safety. SOLUTION: This agent contains >=0.1wt.%, preferably 2-60wt.% of a tetrapyrrole derivative of formula ((n) is 1 or 2) or its salt as an active component. The unit preparation for oral administration preferably contains 50-300mg of the active component compound. It is administered at a daily dose of 0.2-10mg for adult once a day. The agent is especially effective for the treatment of aging macular degeneration caused by the generation of choroidal neovascularity in ophthalmologic region or proliferative lesion in diabetic retinopathy caused by retina neovascularization. The compound of formula is highly accumulated in the vessel in the eye after administration and the neoplastic vessel in the choroid or retina by irradiating the restricted vessel area with a laser beam.
