Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an underwater sailing body which is used for surveying the sea bottom and, in particular, is covered by an outer plate of non-pressure- proof structure from being damaged by waves when it floats on the sea level. SOLUTION: Each side of an underwater sailing body 5 which has a portion communicating with outer water and is covered by an outer plate of non- pressure-proof structure has an opening 1 with a hinge-type cover. When the underwater sailing body 5 floats on the sea level and receives waves, the opening 1 with a hinge-type cover is opened to discharge water in the body, whereby the inertia force of the underwater sailing body 5 is decreased, which reduces the shock caused by the waves.
