description | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress inclining in the liquid level in a steam separator of a drum type boiler, etc., by evening out the pressure losses in individual downcast pipes so that limits to the operation of the circulating pump can be eliminated. SOLUTION: This device comprises a plurality of liquid-level gauges 2 for detecting the inclination of the liquid level in a steam separator 1, adjustable orifices 4 attached respectively to a plurality of downcast pipes 3 and being capable of varying the pressure losses in the respective downcast pipes 3, and a controller 5 for controlling the adjustable orifices 4 on the basis of signals from the liquid-level gauges 2. When the liquid-level gauges 2 signal an inclination in the liquid level longitudinally in the steam separator 1, the controller 5 operates toward closure the adjustable orifices 4 of the downcast pipes 3 on the side having the liquid level lower and toward an opened state the adjustable orifices 4 of the downcast pipes 3 on the side having the liquid level higher so that by this controlling to even out the pressure losses in the respective downcast pipes 3 the liquid level in the steam separator 1 can be made horizontal. |
