description PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily connect switch rods to tongue rails by fixing a connection plate to the tongue rails, gripping it with a connection hardware, inserting connection pins into insertion holes in the connection plate, the connection hardware and the switch rods and elastically thrusting the connection pins with a holddown hardware. SOLUTION: Tongue rails are fixed with a connection plate 15 and an insertion hole 16 is formed in the end of the connection plate 15. A connection hardware 18 is fitted therein in the condition that a collar 17 is inserted in the insertion hole 16. A switch rod 13 is welded to the connection hardware 18. Insertion holes 21 in the upper and lower side 19, 20 of the hardware 18 and an insertion hole 22 in the switch rod 13 are formed. The connection pin 23 is inserted therein from upward. At this time, the head 24 serves for locking. A holddown hardware 25 is mounted on the hardware 18 to elastically thrust the head 24. Falling preventive metal fittings 28 are fitted into the switch rod 13 and the hardware 18. A protrusion 30 is welded to the connection plate 15 to relieve the collar 17 and the pin 23 from burden. In this way, inspection and replacement work can be simplified.
