Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decrease the number of pieces and volume of glass rods and to obtain a glass-deposited layer of a wide deposition area at a low temp. by arranging fusing glass of a hollow structure in glass grooves for regulating track width and forming a fused layer of the glass. SOLUTION: The magnetic head is produced by joining core blocks via the fusing glass to each other, thereby obtaining a core chip. In such a case, the fusing glass 11 of hollow structure is disposed in the glass grooves 6 for regulating the track width formed in the core blocks and the glass fused layers are obtd. by fusing the fusing glass of hollow structure. Consequently, the volume of the glass with respect to the deposition area is decreased. The number of pieces of the glass rods to be arrayed on a substrate is decreased and further, the wide deposition area is obtd. at a low temp. the use of a substrate which is chemically unstable at the time of a high temp. is made possible.
