description PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent dropping matter from entering into a cover which is attached to the distal end of a proximal end side boom, with which a proximal end side connection terminal is covered and which is formed therein with a pass opening for a distal end side connection terminal, by providing a lid which is always urged by a spring toward a position where it closes the pass opening, and which is adapted to be pushed for opening by a member of a distal end side boom, in the cover. SOLUTION: When a telescopic boom 3 is extended from its most retracted condition, a distal end side connection terminal 12 is separated from a proximal end side connection terminal 11, and comes off from a pass opening 22 formed in a cover 21 provided at the distal end part of a proximal end side boom. Further, a lid 23 urged by a spring 25 blocks the pass opening 22. In this condition, the telescopic boom 3 is swung up and down, extended and retracted and turned for working. Next, when the telescopic boom 3 is retracted into the most retracted condition from the extended condition, a member 26 of a distal end side boom enters into the pass opening 22 so that the distal end side connection terminal 12 makes contact with the proximal end side connection terminal 11, and accordingly, a battery 7 is charged. With this arrangement, it is possible to prevent dropping matter from entering the inside of the cover.
