SOLUTION: This control device in a die casting machine is provided with an injection speed detecting means for detecting the shifting speed of an injection plunger 22, a die opening speed detecting means for detecting the shifting speed of a shifting die plate 4 and a flow rate control valve 35 for controlling the flow rate of pressure oil supplied to the injection cylinder 20. Further, a control means is provided for controlling the opening degree of the flow rate control valve 34 so that the shifting speed of the injection plunger 22 is equal to the shifting speed of the shifting die plate 4 by comparing successively the shifting speeds of the injection plunger 22 with the shifting speeds of the shifting die plate 4 detected with the injection speed detecting means and the die opening speed detecting means, respectively from the starting time of the die opening.
