Zusammenfassung:The prodn. of liq. coating polyisocyanates with aliphatic and aromatic NCO gps. (I) and a NCO content of 5-25 wt.% comprises the catalytic co-trimerisation of: (A) 100 pts. wt. aromatic isocyanate component contg. (A1) 70-100 wt.% 2,4- and/or 2,6-TDI and (A2) 0-30 wt.% aromatic isocyanates with a mol. wt. of 119-350 other than (A1), and (B) 15-700 pts. wt. aliphatic isocyanate component contg. wholly aliphatic coating polyisocyanate(s) with a content of less than 0.7 wt.% distillable monomeric di-isocyanate and a viscosity of less than 10,000 mPa's at 23 degrees C, opt. with prior, simultaneous and/or subsequent partial reaction of NCO gps. with (C) up to 40 equiv.% (w.r.t. NCO gps. in A) alcohol(s) with a mol. wt. of 32-900, and opt. in presence of (D) inert solvent; reaction is continued until the content of distillable monomeric isocyanate (A) is less than 0.5 wt.% of the total mixt. Also claimed are coating polyisocyanates obtd. by this process.
