At this time, a snap ring 9 makes a reaction be generated in a snap ring groove 8 against strong pressure of the piston 15 and thereby hydraulic force is maintained, but this snap ring fitting groove 8 is formed in an intermediate part of a wall thickness part 14 of a spline 5 in the vicinity of an opening of this snap ring fitting groove 8. Therefore, owing to this formation, any wall thin part will not be produced at all in and around the fitting groove 8, so that an improvements in strength of a multiple disk clutch drum to the retention for clutch hydraulic pressure is made achievable as reducing an increase of weight.
