CONSTITUTION: A pantograph cover 1 is formed by laminating a honeycomb core and a plurality of ceramic plates 4 as a structure outer skin for forming a sandwiched structure. Each plate 4 has a rectangular shape, and is so disposed that the long side is disposed perpendicularly to the vertical line for connecting a trolley wire to a vehicle. The cover 1 is so disposed that the joint distance for connecting the top to the bottom of the cover 1 becomes maximum. The joint material is adhesive, is deteriorated in its contamination resistance from that of the plate 4 but in this manner, electric insulation is not deteriorated. Thus, the cover which is light and has excellent insulation and endures against the wind pressure at the time of traveling at a high speed is manufactured.
