description | PURPOSE: To secure the design lifetime of an electrode plate of metal and prevent attachment of marine organism to an electroconductive supporting frame by surrounding the electrode plate with the supporting frame of the same material whose thickness is a specific magnification of that of the electrode plate, and fixing through the frame to the wall surface of a concrete structure provided under the sea surface. CONSTITUTION: Two steel electrode plates 1 melted as positive electrode are welded together width to width by impressing a DC voltage, and an electroconductive supporting frame 2 made from the same steel material 2-5 times as thick as the steel electrode plate is welded to the peripheries of four steel electrode plates 1 in the form of a picture frame. Each set of four such steel electrode plates 1 is fixed to the two side wall surfaces of a concrete structure provided in the sea water by means of cushion backing using insulative anchor bolts 3 through the supporting frame 2, and holes in the anchor bolt part 3 on the supporting frame 2 are filled with a resin and left hardening, and an anti-contamination coating is applied to the exposed surface of the resin. The supporting frame 2 of the same material works as a positive electrode to inhibit attachment and vegetation of marine organism, and the end part of the steel electrode plate 1 is precluded from risk of abnormal melting, to lead to securing the design lifetime. |
