SPIT SUPPORT DEVICE

PURPOSE: To restrain smoke, stink or fire by forming several holes in a beam which bridges between and are supported at opposite sides of a furnace and in which skewers for spit roasted meat pieces are inserted, so that the skewers are supported in a cantilever-like manner in order to allow oozed oil or the like to flow along the skewers toward the tip ends thereof, and then to drip. CONSTITUTION: Stands 14, 15 are set upright at opposite sides of a portable stove 1 of a box shape twin furnace type, and a beam 16 for holding skewers bridging between the stands 14, 15 above charcoal fire or the like, and are fixed by pins 14b, 15b inserted in pin holes (h) formed in the stands 14. 15. In this arrangement, the positions of pin holes (h) in which the pins are inserted, are changed so that the height of the beam 6 can be changed. In a hand-free condition in which skewers 5 are held being inserted at their one end part 5a inserted in insertion holes 16a formed in the beam 16, the other end part 5b of the skewers 5 is slightly lowered by the deadweights of the skewers 5. The skewers 5 inclined downward are supported by the beam 16 in a cantilever-like manner. During roasting of spit meat pieces, stinking and oozed oil or the like from the meat pieces or fishes flows along the skewers and drips at the tip ends of the skewers and accordingly, delicious roasted meat pieces can be obtained with no sticking oil or the like being left.
