description PURPOSE: To enhance the responsiveness and stability of a control system by subjecting a position level signal given by a dancer accumulator to proportioning and integrating computation processes to provide a reference control signal and adding a correction value to this reference control signal so that a corrected drive control signal is produced. CONSTITUTION: The position level of a dancer accumulator 3 is sensed by a potentiometer 5, and obtained position level signal is subjected to a computational process made by a proportional calculator 14 and an integrator 15. The line speed of a wire 1 is sensed by a speed sensor 6, and the speed signal given thereby and the proportioning and integrating output signals from the proportional calculator 14 and integrator 15 are added to a main adder 17 so that a reference control signal is prepared. The level signal is integrated by integrator 15 for correction, and the obtained signal is added to the reference control signal by another adder 19, and thereby a corrected motor drive signal is produced. Thus the responsiveness and stability of the control system are enhanced.
