DEVICE AND METHOD FOR SUPPORTING DESIGN

PURPOSE: To make possible equal correction without applying any excess load to a user by storing the correction contents of design cases mutually performed from the user to a computer and effectively utilizing those contents for automatically correcting the design cases. CONSTITUTION: An editing means 19 corrects design case data by an automatic design case correcting means 17 while using any correction knowledge held in a case correction data storage means 12. On the other hand, the editing means 19 outputs one of correction procedures held in a basic correcting method storage means 13 to an input/output means 22 at least and it is selected by an input/output device 33. Next, after the input/output means 22 receives this selection, corresponding to the history of correction performed to the design cases, case correction data are automatically generated by a case correction data generating means 20 and stored in a case correction data storage means 12. Then, while referring to the data held in the case correction data storage means 12, the automatic design case correcting means 17 automatically corrects the extracted design cases so as to match them with design request specification.
