The EL element 2 is inserted into an EL-element attaching part 6 of a pointer case 1, and the pointer is formed. The pointer performs rotary motion. At the same time, an electric field is applied on the transparent electrode and the back electrode from an external power supply through sliding contact pieces 4 and 5, leads 11a and 11b and leaders 7a and 10a, and the light is emitted. Since the fluororesin is mixed into the light emitting layer and the insulating layer and the reaction accelerator is mixed into the back electrode, the intruding amount of moisture is decreased, and the deterioration of the light emitting layer can be prevented.
