CONSTITUTION: The front wheel shock absorber for a bicycle is formed up by disposing a coil spring 6 made out of an elastic body and foamed urethane 7 within a front fork stem 5 between a pipe cap 8 and a cap shaped bush 3 at the upper end of a front fork inner stem 2. A sliding bush 4 is inserted between the lower end section of the front fork stem 5 and the front fork inner stem 2, a toggle link 9 is interposed between the lower end section of the front fork stem in the vicinity of the bush 4 and a front fork shoulder section 1a via link mounting pedestals 9a and 9b, so that the front fork and the front fork stem are thereby prevented from being separated. And when a front wheel rides on an obstacle, the coil spring made out of an elastic body and foamed uretane 7 are compressed so as to allow vibration to be absorbed.
