STEM/LEAF TREATING DEVICE FOR ROOTCROP

PURPOSE: To provide the device excellent in operability made up of a traveling section, stems/leaves treating section, cutting edge section and supporting height control section, and capable of quickly and steplessly regulating the differential displacement and interval between a feeler wheel and a cutting edge. CONSTITUTION: This device is made up of a traveling section 2, a stems/leaves treating section 3, a cutting edge section 4, and a supporting height control section 5. The cutting edge section 4 is made up of a link rod 4B swingably supported on a lower shaft 4A running parallel with an upper shaft 3C under a machine frame 3A and a perpendicular bracket 4C supported by a bracket shaft 4D concentrically situated with a feeler wheel shaft on a feeler wheel, frame 3D. The lower end of a beam 4E is fitted with a cutting edge 4E1 via a cutting edge attaching part 4E2. The supporting height control section 5 is made up of a rear machine frame provided adjacently to the rear side of the machine frame 3A, a 2nd rocking lever 4F1 connected slantly upward to a 1st rocking lever situated above, and a connecting rod stretchedly bridged between the 2nd rocking lever 4F1 and the rear machine frame, and the tip of the connecting rod is connected to the rear machine frame so as to be free to make an elevation control.
