LUMINAIRE

PURPOSE: To efficiently arrange parts and provide illuminating light quantity with high power by opposing a pair of single base lamps at a pair of ends perpendicular to the projecting opening of a rectangular box main body to be positioned with the optical axes on the same line. CONSTITUTION: A rectangular box main body 1 has a rectangular projecting opening 2 at the front and a pair of end plates 3 at both right and left ends to be perpendicular to the projecting opening 2. At a pair of end plates 3, lamp sockets are mounted in the directions of opposing each other on the same line and single straight base lamps 4' (low-pressure sodium lamps) different in tube length are mounted and located with the optical axes on the same line. Reflecting plates 6 are stored in the main body 1 to be optically opposed to a pair of lamps 4'. In this way, the reflecting plates can be designed in a simple structure without lowering illuminating efficiency.
