description PURPOSE: To improve the strength by incorporating a specific reinforcing material into a thermosetting resin. CONSTITUTION: Chopped strands each made up of 40 to 70 bundled glass filaments with a diameter of 9.5 to 12μm were cut into 3-to 8-cm lengths, the cut strands are supplied to a reticulate preliminary mold, a binder is sprinkled, and they are heated and dried at 50 to 100 deg.C for 30sec to 5min to obtain a reinforcing material. A molding material made up of 80 to 99wt.% thermosetting resin, 1 to 5wt.% hardening agent, 5 to 20wt.% filler, 0.5 to 5wt.% releasing agent, and 0.5 to 3.5wt.% colorant is charged into the reinforcing material, and the resultant mixture is placed between a male mold and a female mold and is heated under a pressure of 70 to 150kg/cm at 90 to 150 deg.C for 2 to 5min.
