description PURPOSE:To provide the structure for connecting optical cables for connector connection to effectively minimize the space for optical fiber connection. CONSTITUTION:This subscriber terminal device 4 is constituted by juxtaposing and packaging circuit packages 1 constituted on a printed circuit board 11 on a shelf 2 of a casing 3. The line sides of these circuit packages 1 incorpolating optical modules 12 for optic/electric conversion are drawn out by an optical fiber cord 14 provided with an optical connector 13 at the front ends. The optical fiber cord 32 of the optical cable 31 introduced from outside has a surplus length housing part 71 and a juncture 72 for connection to the optical fiber cord 14 and is held by a turning supporting member 7 which is pivotally supported in the front part of the adjacent flanks of the circuit packages 1 or the shelf 2 so as to be exposed forward by turning the surface parallel with the printed circuit board 11. The shelf 2 or the circuit packages 1 are provided with an energizing means for storing the turning supporting member 7 in a recessed part 22 by pulling the turning supporting member backward and locking means for locking the member in the exposed home position.
